Local Information
Not intended to be an exhaustive list of everything to see and do, where to shop and local services, this will at least point you in the right direction to make your stay that little more relaxed.
Honiton and the surrounding villages have a host of pubs and restaurants, far too many to list here. Exeter again has many great eateries along with Sidmouth, Ottery St Mary, Lyme Regis and Axminster. It is worth a spending a bit of time on the internet to explore all the options available and make advance bookings which are currently highly advisable.
Shopping - The Usual Suspects - There are Lidl, Aldi and Tesco stores within a short driving distance, however please do go into Honiton to shop where you will find many other outlets including plenty of superb independents supplying fish, meat, veg, deli, wine, health foods and many more. We really recommend using these outlets as not only are their produce first class but you will be supporting the local economy in these difficult times on the High Street. Honestly, you really will taste the difference.
Market days are Tuesdays and Saturday. There is usually (weather dependant) a good range of stalls up and down the High Street selling all sorts of produce, supplies and some quite weird stuff.
There is a very fine museum in the centre of town with a fantastic display of Honiton Lace and local history, many antique shops, galleries and other interesting independent shops selling all manner of things.
Petrol is available at Tesco's (cheapest) and the BP station at Turks Head. Fast EV charging just 30 seconds drive from us at Heron Farm
